About Ameren Missouri Ameren Missouri has been providing electric and gas service for more than 100 years, and our electric rates are among the lowest in the nation. Ameren Missouri's mission is to power the quality of life for our 1.2 million electric and 132,000 natural gas customers in central and eastern Missouri. Our service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities including the greater St. Louis area Position(s): 1 Hourly Rate Range: $29.78 - $36.04 Revision Date: 6/30/2023 Area/Div: 0175 DUTIES: Under direct but not constant supervision, in work requiring the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility; to perform a variety of moderately complex tasks, including but not limited to the following: Compile, input, arrange, scan and edit data; make computations, prepare reports, correspondence, process documents, maintain comprehensive records, file. Respond to customers, both internal and external, using verbal and/or written communication. Serve in a capacity to handle and appropriately resolve escalated customer situations in a respectful and businesslike manner. Utilize different types of maps to obtain information related to job duties. Process and validate time reporting and overtime equalization as assigned. Process and validate documentation and information related to construction, substation, and service jobs. Provide support for field, engineering, design, drafting, training, supervision, and other personnel using problem-solving skills and independent judgment. Follow and administer the Records Management Policy and Procedure. Research information and process billing associated with damage to Company property and revenue protection. Provide training and create training documentation as directed. Manage office supplies, inventories and equipment as assigned. Provide input and assist in the development of procedures, processes, and methods. Relay instructions to and answer appropriate inquiries from field workers as required. Collect and assemble various data for analysis and reports; to occasionally perform semi-technical assignments and to do related work as required. Process meter/lighting orders and associated work, including the use of meter constants and similar data to ensure correct and proper billing of electric and/or gas equipment. Perform/participate in special projects as assigned and handle special situations which may arise. Perform all related work as required. For Field Meter Office OAII Positions: To do clerical work of an intermediate grade of complexity, requiring the exercise of some independent judgment in connection with field testing of electrical meters and metering equipment. Relay instructions to field men as required. Collect and assemble various data for analysis and reports; to occasionally perform semi-technical assignments and to do related work as required. Process demand meter read sheets for demand chart collection. Prepare demand meter repair orders when defects are reported or when cyclometer and watt-hour readings do not agree. Responsible for recording and using meter constants and similar data to insure proper billing. Maintain follow-up and route test orders for meters scheduled for periodic or special test. Check all periodic and special test reports and process meter change orders. Check correctness of multipliers of constants. Responsible for interpretation of meter reports and in the preparation of meter orders, with appropriate actions taken. Perform duties of Operations Associate I at a high level of complexity. Prepare records as required. As required, prepare requisitions, work reports and customer correspondence. Perform all related work as required. SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilize appropriate software and systems in performance of job duties, such as, but not limited to Microsoft Office or other corporate software and web-based programs. Hold as confidential information obtained in connection with duties and relating to Company’s business or personnel, as per the Corporate Compliance Policy and supervisory instruction. Ensure accurate compilation of records and reports. Utilize office equipment in the performance of job duties. Work in a team environment. Adapt to changes in systems, applications, and procedures. Adhere to strict deadlines. Support operations as assigned with storm damage restoration. Work independently, manage changing priorities and accomplish multiple, detailed tasks with the ability to handle peak and deadline driven workloads. CONTACTS: With personnel at all levels of the organization, in addition to non-employees (customers, vendors, builders, electricians) in both written and verbal communication. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree from an accredited college, university or junior college or three years of related clerical experience. Must earn recommended scores on the EEI Data Entry Test and the Clerical Aptitude Battery (BCAB). OTHER: Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
