    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>i3 is looking for a FEA Analysis Engineer to support our growing team in Huntsville, AL.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs finite element analysis for review, characterization, and validation of mechanical structures and mechanisms in a variety of domains.</li>\n <li>Assimilates technical information from numerous sources and develops models with a high degree of precision.</li>\n <li>Uses calculations, Monte Carlo sensitivity analyses, and engineering judgement to evaluate the applicability of models to real-world effects.</li>\n <li>Prepares technical reports to document and clearly communicate potential failure modes and propose design solutions.</li>\n <li>Performs trade studies to evaluate alternative design concepts and clearly communicates reasoning and recommendations to stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program in a related field is required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.</li>\n <li>10-15 years of relevant experience.</li>\n <li>Must possess FEA technical expertise to preprocess, mesh, run, and evaluate results of multi-body and muti-material assemblies in static and dynamic modes. Experience with thermal and/or aerodynamic simulation preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience operating major commercial FEA and meshing software packages required. Experience with Ansys preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience working for a government organization preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Existing Secret or higher clearance preferred.</li>\n <li>U.S. Citizenship is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Knowledge/Skills </u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of office administration and procedures. </li>\n <li>Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully. </li>\n <li>Interact with a diverse array of customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner. </li>\n <li>Work independently with accountability for accurate and complete results. </li>\n <li>Be extremely organized and exceptionally detail oriented. </li>\n <li>Work well both independently and in a team environment. </li>\n <li>Be energized by a fast-paced work environment. </li>\n <li>Must be able to communicate with others effectively. </li>\n <li>Analyze information and respond appropriately. </li>\n <li>Manage time wisely and prioritize tasks. </li>\n <li>Provide superior customer service.  </li>\n <li>Multi-task in a pleasant manner. </li>\n <li>Work well under pressure.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Physical Demands</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</li>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.</li>\n <li>The employee may occasionally be required to work in a machine shop environment around heavy machinery and associated dust, debris, noise, and other environmental hazards.</li>\n <li>The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. </li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. </li>\n <li>Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion.
