    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The Recovery Support Specialist performs rehabilitation and support functions and assists in treatment. Activities may include crisis intervention under the clinical supervision of staff with professional degrees, client advocacy, prevention and education. The RSS provides substance abuse services, education, support and consultation to families. The RSS &nbsp;performs direction and coordinating support activities that promote good physical health; provides peer support services; serves as a client advocate; provides information and peer support for clients in emergency, outpatient or inpatient settings. The RSS performs a wide range of tasks to assist clients in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes.</p><p><strong id=\"isPasted\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Facilitates activities in nutrition, exercises managing physical health concerns&nbsp;</li><li>Provides support regarding the effects that medication may have on physical health</li><li>Assists clients in developing individual physical wellness plans and implementation assistance and support</li><li>Teaches and mentors the value of every individual&rsquo;s recovery experience</li><li>Models effective coping techniques and self-help strategies</li><li>Assists service recipients in articulating personal goals for recovery&nbsp;</li><li>Assists in setting up and sustaining self-help (mutual support) groups</li><li>Supports clients in using a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)</li><li>Assists in creating a Safety Plan and Psychiatric Advanced Directive as needed</li><li>Utilizes and teaches problem solving techniques with clients as well as how to identify and combat negative self-talk and fears</li><li>Supports the vocational choices of clients and assist in overcoming job-related anxiety</li><li>Assists in building social skills in the community that will enhance quality of life and support the development of natural support systems</li><li>Attends treatment team and program development meetings to ensure the presence of the client voice and to promote the use of self-directed recovery tools</li><li>Provides and advocates for effective recovery oriented services</li><li>Maintains effective working relationships and strategic alliances with consumers, other staff, the community and other non-profit organizations</li><li>Builds rapport and working partnerships with relevant local, state, and federal government agencies</li><li>Promotes community education projects to help increase awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) &amp; Acute Mental Health Crises</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Performs other duties as required</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Current PRSS Certification or have demonstrated recovery from a mental health diagnosis, substance use disorder or both</li><li>Be at least 18 years of age</li><li>Be willing to self-disclose about their personal recovery journey</li><li>Bilingual preferred</li><li>Valid Oklahoma driver&rsquo;s license, clean driving record, transportation</li><li>General skill in exercising independent judgment, tact, patience, and understanding; maintaining effective working relationships with clients, other staff, and the community</li><li>Must complete all in-service and external training requirements</li><li>Commitment to the mission of Red Rock BHS</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time</li><li>Must have the ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 25 pounds</li><li>Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time</li><li>Ability to use telephone, PC, fax machine, copy machine, and printer</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>HOW WE TAKE CARE OF YOU!</strong></p><ul><li>We pay a generous portion of your Health Insurance</li><li>Low-cost Dental and Vision Insurance</li><li>Retirement Plan with employer contributions equal to 5% of annual salary</li><li>Student Loan Repayment Options</li><li>No Cost Employee Assistance Plan</li><li>3 Weeks Paid Time-Off (increases annually between years 2-10)</li><li>9 Paid Holidays</li><li>1 Floating Holiday to use at your discretion.</li><li>4 Rest and Relaxation Days</li><li>3 days of Education Leave</li><li>4 hours of Volunteer Leave</li><li>Eligible for Pay Increases and Bonuses Annually</li><li>Employer Paid Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance</li></ul><p><span style=\"color: black;\"><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities</strong></span></p><p>Red Rock Behavioral Health Services does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, age, marital/familial status, sexual orientation, or disability.</p><p><br></p></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
