font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><strong>Job Description</strong></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">This individual will be responsible for working in an outdoor environment repairing and maintaining railroad construction equipment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Troubleshoot and repair equipment – electrical, hydraulic, diesel and mechanical.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provide training and technical knowledge on full range of equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provide clear work order documentation and reports when needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Ensure compliance in all railroad, safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Report to the Project Superintendent with a dotted line to the equipment manager.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Overall responsibility for keeping all machine running efficiently.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Stay in constant contact with the equipment manager and have E/M order parts as needed and as frequently as required to keep the gang up to optimal performance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Perform all repairs as necessary both emergency and permanent repairs on a daily basis.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Maintain a set of tools required to perform the work.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Ensure that all equipment operators perform greasing, safety and oil checks daily and that records are maintained in accordance with FRA regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Overall support for the gang as necessary inclusive of operating a machine in emergency situations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Report to the E/M every night on the needs for the following day/turns.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provide support as needed to move equipment from jobsite to Jobsite.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Perform other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><strong>Additional Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provide a high level of communication with home office and supervisory staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Employee is responsible for supplying steel toe boots and mechanic's tools.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Minimum of 2 years of field service or mechanic experience.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">You must have your own basic mechanic's tools.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Prior work experience in an outdoor setting including excessive heat and cold. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Must have experience with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assemblies and testing experience.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Capable of reading variable schematic logic for both low / high voltage electrical and a variety of hydraulics.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Basic computer skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Strong troubleshooting abilities a plus.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Detail Oriented.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;
