In-depth knowledge of modern upholstery techniques, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize design ideas are required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Job Level</span></span></p>\n<p>Technician</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Reports To</span></span></p>\n<p>Trim Shop Manager and Trim Shop Lead Interior Technician</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Duties and Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use of sewing machines</li>\n<li>Adapt and conform with a wide variety of premium quality upholstery.</li>\n<li>Utilize creative knowledge with hand-crafted upholstery applications.</li>\n<li>Inspect both raw material and finished product for conformance to specifications.</li>\n<li>Maintain a clean, safe, and efficiently organized workstation.</li>\n<li>Work with composites, acrylics, and starboard.</li>\n<li>Support and collaborate with team members to foster a positive work environment.</li>\n<li>Document work by taking clear photographs for customer service and internal records.</li>\n<li>Arrive on time with a professional appearance, ready to work at start of shift.</li>\n<li>Adhere to the company dress code and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.</li>\n<li>Complete daily SOS/sign off sheet.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Required Skills and Abilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong attention to detail with ability to properly install upholstery in tight spaces of interior vehicle frames.</li>\n<li>Relentless desire to produce high quality work and to continue learning new trends and techniques.</li>\n<li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working independently or in a team setting.</li>\n<li>Comfortable with verbal and written direction and switching tasks as needed to meet deadlines.</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.</li>\n<li>Ability to work overtime as needed.</li>\n<li>Mandatory drug screening required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Education Background and Experience</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with sewing machines is a plus, but we can train you to learn as well</li>\n<li>Prior automotive, marine and boat upholstery is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Key Performance Indicators (Performance will be tracked by the following data metrics)</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>97% billable hours to payroll</li>\n<li>On time completion <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">&gt;</span> 95%</li>\n<li>% of vehicles hitting hours goals</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Physical Demands (To include but not limited to) </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prolonged periods of standing or walking around the workspace.</li>\n<li>Frequently lifting heavy objects, such as tools, parts, or equipment, often weighing up to 50-75 pounds.</li>\n<li>Regularly bending, stooping, or crouching to work on vehicles at different heights.</li>\n<li>Moving large or heavy equipment, carts, or vehicles within the shop.</li>\n<li>Precise manipulation of tools, small parts, and diagnostic equipment.</li>\n<li>Continuous use of hands, arms, and fingers for tasks like tightening bolts, sanding, or painting.</li>\n<li>Exposure to loud noises from power tools and machinery.</li>\n<li>Using equipment like impact wrenches or sanders that produce significant vibration.</li>\n<li>Working in non-climate-controlled environments, leading to exposure to heat or cold.</li>\n<li>Potential exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals like solvents, oils, and paints.
