The Engineer will be building reusable SaaS components to ingest various types of data into a cloud environment using ETL tools. <br /><br /><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br />•\tBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.<br />•\t3+ years’ experience with implementation of large enterprise systems or distributed computing environment<br />•\t7+ years in Java, C# is a plus but not required.<br />•\tProficiency in Java, Spring, JPA and Hibernate.<br />•\tProficiency in RDBMS including SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.<br />•\tProven track record of designing scalable, distributed software applications.<br />•\tProficiency in ETL development using tools such as Pentaho.<br />•\tExperience in solving big-data problems using Open Source technologies such as Hadoop/HDFS and HBase on a cloud platform.<br /><br /><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br />•\tTake a product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation and support.<br />•\tImplement all aspects of application design – high-performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, environment configuration, and testing.<br />•\tPerform unit and system-level testing of applications.<br />•\tDevelop reusable loosely-coupled software components to deploy on cloud platforms.<br />•\tImplement ETL processes utilizing Pentaho.<br />•\tImplement business-layers as web service using Java, Spring Framework and JPA.<br />•\tDevelop presentation layers using JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS and HTML while utilizing MVC architecture.<br />•\tExperience using COTS products to integrate systems at an enterprise level.<br />•\tFamiliarity in UI front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. <br />•\tExperience in building business workflows using Business Process Management <br />•\tCloudera ecosystems Hive, Pig, Impala, HBase, Mahout, Spark</p><p>Clearance: Prefer Candidates possess a Department of Defense SECRET security clearance.
