Responsibilities Performs schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment, and calculates depreciation expense. Works effectively within given budgetary parameters. Prepares income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, including federal and state tax returns for multi-state companies and consolidated returns for affiliated groups. Conducts tax research to ensure compliance with tax law. Assist supervisors and partners with various tax analysis and issues Creating spreadsheets to analyze tax issues Prepare and calculate tax depreciation expenses Record transactions in tax basis trial balances as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business, Business Management, Economics, Finance or in a closely related field. Either hold a current and valid CPA’s license or be working toward obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam. Ability to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to complete work in an efficient and accurate manner. Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and personal and entity level income tax. Occasional overtime work required throughout the year. Heavy overtime work required from January 1 to April 15 and August 1 to October 15, likely in excess of 55 hours per week. At least two year of work experience in public accounting or in a closely related occupation. Experience in preparing individual tax returns for clients. Experience filing corporate tax returns for LLC, S-Corporation, C-Corporation, and Non-profits. Knowledge of CCH Axcess, iChannel and SurePrep are preferred.
