This position may travel at least 15% of the time.</p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p>The base wage or salary range for this position is <strong>$70,000 - $80,000</strong>. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.</p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Follow and enforce all safety requirements and company policies</li><li>Provide exceptional customer service&nbsp;</li><li>Perform necessary calculations to support designs and simulations</li><li>Prepare working drawings using information collected from various sources for new products, fabrication tools and dies, curtain wall and special test chambers, new machinery and equipment</li><li><p>Assume total responsibility for projects as assigned including, but not limited to the following:</p><p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Communicate with clients on building codes, test preparation, procedures, results and reporting matters<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Coordinate test schedule with available personnel and equipment schedule<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Write test protocols when required and obtain approvals as necessary<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Review and thoroughly understand contract requirements and document any deviations. &nbsp;Advise clients of extra costs as they are incurred<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assist in preparation of major proposals via pre-bid meetings and on-site inspections. &nbsp;Follow-up with personnel and equipment allocations<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Review and understand budgeted personnel and equipment taking full responsibility to operate within budget (maintain profitability)<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Perform necessary research on special test projects<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Prepare and submit accurate and concise reports on all projects assigned</p></li><li>Review of projects requiring a P.E. seal, if licensed Engineer&nbsp;</li><li>Provide manufacturer in-plant witness/consulting services&nbsp;</li><li>Meet all quality requirements as stated in the laboratory Quality Manual</li><li>Research and implement new test areas and engineering services&nbsp;</li><li>Attend and participate in industry meetings as required</li><li>Perform other work as required<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>B.S. Degree in Engineering or closely related field of physical science, or educational equivalent&nbsp;</li><li>Technical competence to effectively communicate test procedures, specifications, and results with customers while possessing skills in diplomacy conducive to working with clients through technically challenging compliance issues</li><li>Capability of working both individually and within a team</li><li>Proven leadership skills sufficient to supervise subordinate engineers and other technical team members</li><li>Good research, documentation, record keeping and technical writing skills</li><li>Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required</li><li>Expected to travel as business needs dictate</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of construction material characteristics and applications, manufacturing techniques, supply sources and engineering principles</li><li>E.I.T. minimum preferred</li><li>Knowledge of the U. S.
