  "externalDescription": " Job Summary To provide crime prevention duties and general assistance to Visitors, Students, Faculty and Staff. Principal Accountabilities Works mostly night and weekend assigned shifts. Monitor all Blinn College District Cameras to provide pro-active and reactive monitoring of cameras to assist with detection of crime, antisocial behavior and to support the reduction of crime, disorder, and the fear of crime. Report all suspicious activity to Blinn Police and Hall Directors via phone and radio Perform equipment checks to verify all cameras are broadcasting and all video storage facilities are online and functioning. Properly storing footage, cataloging so it can easily be recalled at a later time. Keep accurate detailed written logs. Make regular rounds in dormitories assigned. Greet and assist all students, faculty, staff and visitors. Provide customer service assistance and building monitoring during special events and activities. Provide crime prevention information, when observed to Blinn Police. Contribute to the overall safety of the students, faculty, staff, and visitors and follow all facility and building rules, policies and procedures. Be able to answer general questions about events and activities occurring in the Blinn Campus buildings. Possess a thorough knowledge of the Brenham Campus and be able to guide students, faculty, and/or visitors to the appropriate classroom, office and/or department. Blinn Campus familiarity training will be provided. Perform opening and closing tasks (locking and unlocking building and check working order of all equipment and doors). Report any incident of injury, theft, or broken equipment to proper authorities. Performs other duties as assigned. ",
