    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Title:</span> Anatomy &amp; Physiology Instructor<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Department:</span> Natural &amp; Physical Sciences<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> Hybrid (Erath &amp; Brown County Campuses)<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reports To:</span> Dean of Natural &amp; Physical Sciences<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Employment Type:</span> Full-time</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p>The Anatomy &amp; Physiology Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in human anatomy and physiology courses. This position supports student success through effective teaching strategies, curriculum development, and engagement in departmental and institutional initiatives.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Teach Anatomy &amp; Physiology courses in accordance with institutional standards and approved curriculum.</li>\n<li>Develop and implement lesson plans, lectures, laboratory activities, and assessments.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, and progress.</li>\n<li>Utilize instructional technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning.</li>\n<li>Provide academic support and guidance to students, including office hours and mentoring.</li>\n<li>Ensure laboratory safety procedures and proper use of equipment and materials.</li>\n<li>Participate in curriculum review, development, and program assessment activities.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with faculty and staff across departments to support student success initiatives.</li>\n<li>Maintain compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and state regulations.</li>\n<li>Engage in professional development to stay current in the field of anatomy and physiology.</li>\n<li>Serve on college committees and participate in institutional activities as assigned.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s degree in biology, Anatomy, Physiology, or a closely related field (or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Biology).</li>\n<li>Previous teaching experience at the high school or college level preferred.</li>\n<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to teach both lecture and laboratory components.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience teaching Anatomy &amp; Physiology at the college level.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with online or hybrid instruction.</li>\n<li>Experience using learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas).</li>\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to student success and engagement.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of human anatomy and physiological processes.</li>\n<li>Ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner.</li>\n<li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively in a diverse educational environment.</li>\n<li>Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in teaching.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Information</span></p>\n<p>This position may require teaching at multiple campus locations and/or online formats depending on institutional needs.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials.
