    "requisitionDescription": "<div style=\"font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><h2><strong>Position Summary</strong></h2><p>The School-Age Childcare Staff member is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for school-age children. This role includes planning and leading educational and recreational activities that support children&rsquo;s growth and well-being.</p><p>Strong communication and teamwork are essential, as this position works closely with the childcare director and other staff.</p><hr><h2><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate educational and recreational activities</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment at all times</li><li>Anticipate and respond to the individual needs of each child with care and attentiveness</li><li>Communicate with the childcare director regarding questions or concerns</li><li>Maintain a positive, professional tone that promotes a supportive and collaborative environment</li><li>Provide daily updates to the childcare director regarding classroom needs and children&rsquo;s progress</li><li>Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and team members</li><li>Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and center policies</li><li>Monitor supplies and notify the director when materials need replenishing</li><li>Maintain professional and respectful communication with families</li><li>Participate in bi-monthly staff meetings, safety trainings, drills, and educational sessions</li><li>May be assigned to an emergency response team</li><li>Complete all DHHS training requirements</li></ul><hr><h2><strong>Education Requirements</strong></h2><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field preferred</li><li>CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)</li><li>Registered with Maine Roads to Quality (MRTQ), or willingness to register and complete required training</li></ul><hr><h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>Must be at least 18 years old</li><li>Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent), or be enrolled in a high school, GED, or HiSET program</li><li>Ability and willingness to follow all applicable laws and regulations</li><li>Ability to provide safe, compassionate care</li><li>Demonstrated history of honest and lawful conduct</li><li>Strong judgment and commitment to children&rsquo;s safety and well-being</li><li>Must not engage in any behavior detrimental to the welfare of children</li><li>Successful completion of all required DHHS background checks</li></ul><hr><h2><strong>Work Environment</strong></h2><ul><li>Active, hands-on role working with school-age children</li><li>Collaborative and supportive team setting</li><li>Opportunity to plan creative and enriching activities</li></ul></div>\n",
