    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p><strong>SUMMARY:</strong></p><p>As a Resident Engineer you will be a key member of the Bryant Construction Management Team in our Boston, MA office, where you will inspect of job sites for a wide range of public and private sector clients, to enable their successful completion. Work will be done in support of our multi-disciplinary Survey, Engineering (Site/Civil, Structural and Traffic) and Construction Management firm. Projects are located throughout the State of Massachusetts and mostly consist of water and sewer pipeline and treatment plants but may also include traffic and roadway projects.</p><p>The Resident Engineer will perform on-site inspection of water/storm water, and/or roadway/civil-site work jobs. Work is carried out with considerable independence and requires thorough knowledge of appropriate construction practices and codes.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong>(other duties may be assigned)</p><ul><li dir=\"auto\">Manages, monitors activities of assigned staff to determine that the contractors&rsquo; activities conform to design specifications and contractual requirements.&nbsp;</li><li dir=\"auto\">Oversees the measurement and payment of contractor&rsquo;s quantities of work performed</li><li dir=\"auto\">Documents observations, non-compliance and corrective/preventative actions</li><li dir=\"auto\">Coordinates work efforts of inspection staff , testing firm and laboratories</li><li dir=\"auto\">Collects analyzes and organizes data to brief client on project issues. Makes suggestions for resolutions</li><li dir=\"auto\">Drafts and reviews responses to contractor&rsquo;s correspondence as required</li><li dir=\"auto\">Provide guidance to inspection staff</li><li dir=\"auto\">Act as on-site liaison between client, company personnel and contractor to resolve project issues</li><li dir=\"auto\">Coordinates work with the contractor</li><li dir=\"auto\">Observes all phases of construction activities for compliance with design documents and client standards</li><li dir=\"auto\">Documents work as performed</li><li dir=\"auto\">Reviews contractor requisitions for payment</li><li dir=\"auto\">Prepares daily reports and attends progress meetings</li><li dir=\"auto\">Manages quality and safety of projects and ensures schedules are met</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li dir=\"auto\">Excellent written and oral communication skills</li><li dir=\"auto\">Demonstrated ability to resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently</li><li dir=\"auto\">Detail oriented</li><li dir=\"auto\">Problem solver</li><li dir=\"auto\">Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
