Directly or indirectly, you'll have exposure to cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking medical research.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Medical Scribe</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Hours: 3 days per week, Monday-Friday 8a-5p</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Location: Employee will work between the 3 work locations</p>\n<p>6420 Rockledge Drive, Suite 2200, Bethesda, MD 20817,</p>\n<p>5215 Loughboro Road NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC, 20016</p>\n<p>1106 Annapolis Rd, Suite 280, Odenton MD 21113</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Pay rate: $20 per hour</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work with the ortho surgeons, pre-charting and pulling medical records, and working with the surgeon to take notes during dictations. </li>\n <li>Accompany clinician into patient exam areas for the purpose of accurately documenting the clinician's encounter with the patient as described by the clinician.</li>\n <li>Seek real-time clarification of all information entered into the medical record.</li>\n <li>List diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as mentioned by the clinician.</li>\n <li>Enter orders, including diagnostic testing and medications which are pended and require clinician approval to activate.</li>\n <li>Document procedures performed and described by the clinician. Invoke the organizations approved scribe statement for each clinical note.</li>\n <li>Complete all scribe duties before leaving the patient care area.</li>\n <li>Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.</li>\n <li>Participate in clinical research activity at the direction of the clinician.</li>\n <li>Perform literature searches and data bases searches to gain data required for projects.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Human Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, Nursing, or related discipline</li>\n <li>Six months experience as a medical scribe, medical transcriptionist, or other related job in a medical office</li>\n <li>EPIC knowledge/experience </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action employers.
