    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong> </p>\n<p>​Provide basic patient care under the direction of a professional nurse.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Under the direct supervision of a professional nurse, perform and assist with various tasks related to ECT including basic patient care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.  </li>\n <li>​Provide service to the following age population(s): older adults and adults in a manner that demonstrate understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.  </li>\n <li>​Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.  When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.  Recognize that patient safety is a top priority. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS: </strong> </p>\n<p>​Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​High school diploma or equivalent along with at least 12 college credits required.  Two or more years’ experience in Human Services Field; OR </li>\n <li>​Associate’s Degree with major in human services field and two or more years’ experience in human services field; OR </li>\n <li>​Bachelor’s Degree with major in human services field and one year of experience in human services field.  </li>\n <li>​EMT or paramedic experience preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​ACLS Certification and IV Certification required.  </li>\n <li>​CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). </li>\n <li>​First aid may be required based on state or facility.
