The Children’s Coordinator assists in preparing age-appropriate curriculums; supervises children during all program activities and arranges/serves snacks and meals. The Children’s Coordinator executes work in accordance with SFRC policies and regulations and with best practices in mind for a therapeutic childcare setting. &nbsp;</p><p><br><u><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></u>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Manages staffing and coverage of childcare staff on a daily basis.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures appropriate training for new and veteran staff.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Creates the daily program and schedules. Organizes the outings with moms and children.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversees inventory of supplies needed for childcare, supply closet, and blue shed. Provides supplies and materials needed for the child. Supports mothers in accessing community resources for their children.&nbsp;</li><li>Completes child intake with the mother.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Participated in the weekly intake meetings anticipates new arrivals/intakes, and prepares for them.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains records relating to childcare and ensures that charting is complete in EHR Systems.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures that all incident reports are completed and properly addressed with documented solutions in the child’s file and in the EHR system.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains ongoing communication with med techs, counselors, case managers, and providers. &nbsp;</li><li>Maintains staff files.&nbsp;</li><li>Completes assigned duties related to the NM childcare licensing process.&nbsp;</li><li>Establishes weekly lesson plans and Shares with moms the plans and how they support their child’s development.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Supports mothers with child development questions, behavioral needs, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Provide toys for mothers and children to use in the residential area and oversees inventory.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures that ASQ’s (Ages &amp; Stages Questionnaires) are completed the data is captured &nbsp;</li><li>Creates and maintains a child-friendly and safe environment. &nbsp;</li><li>Engages with the child in therapeutic activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitors children’s behavior, noting signs of stress and special needs.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Documents observations and communicates these observations with staff as needed. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Advocates for the children’s needs within the program and communicates children’s needs to the appropriate staff members.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>In coordination with the medical team, support mothers with referrals to agencies and providers that assist with birthing plans. (prenatal classes, doula services, etc)&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborates with the case managers on child-specific discharge follow-up plans i.e. childcare subsidy, Head Start, WIC, early intervention, home visiting, safe sleep, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Connects mothers to community resources for diapers, clothing, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Assists in Completing a 30-day follow-up to see if mom has engaged with child-related services.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Participates in discharge meetings with appropriate agencies (CYFD, Early intervention, home visiting, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Collect client-related data for children in the program (ASQ’s, PICCOLOs, nutrition, and community referrals) for &nbsp;the grant at specified times and submits data into SFRC data tracing spreadsheet and collaborate with Data Coordinator and Project Evaluator to ensure proper reporting.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Creates relationships with community family resource providers and shares this information with Case Managers and Child Care staff.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Works in conjunction with Contractors to improve child care and programming.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>",
