    "description": "<h2>Job Highlights</h2>\n<p>1st shift full time 8a-4:30pm</p>\n<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Admission and Quality Nurse Specialist is responsible for managing the clinical evaluation, admission, and recertification processes for patients and residents of the facility, while coordinating and performing quality assurance and performance improvement activities. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid standards, and supports the facility’s commitment to quality of life and care, and operational excellence.</p>\n<h2>Posted Salary Range</h2>USD $38.50 - USD $43.00 /Hr.\n<h2>Wage Commensuration</h2>The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.\n<h2>Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Assists the Administrator and Director of Nursing with the coordination of the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee meetings and activities.</li>\n<li>Assist with the development and implementation of the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Plan and provide support and training of facility staff in QAPI activities.</li>\n<li>Participate in the annual review of the QAPI Plan and make recommendations for improvements to Facility Leadership.</li>\n<li>Actively participate in and contribute to the development of the annual Facility Assessment by incorporating key quality metrics and areas of focus for additional education or competency.</li>\n<li>Prepare QAPI reports for Facility Leadership, which are subsequently shared with ombudsman, Family Council and Resident Council and other stakeholders, as appropriate.</li>\n<li>Maintain records and minutes of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee.</li>\n<li>Assists with education and orientation for new employees regarding QAPI </li>\n<li>Reviews admission referral documents prior to facility admission to evaluate specific needs, history and physical, physician orders. Discusses findings with Director of Nursing. If appropriate and necessary, work with Central Supply to order any special equipment and supplies needed.</li>\n<li>Communicates with sending facility to receive handoff report from sending facility. Coordinates and communicates admission activities with facility leadership and the interdisciplinary team.</li>\n<li>Upon admission, meets with the resident and family to welcome and provide an initial orientation to the facility.
