record check may be required\n<h2><p>Summary</p></h2>\n<p>Reporting to the Site Lead for Social Work at St. Paul’s Hospital, and collaborating with Social Work Site Leaders across sites/programs and/or the Research, Education and Practice Coordinator:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>supports Providence Health Care (PHC) inter-professional programs/teams as the adult protection educator and subject matter expert\\</li>\n <li>provides clinical education, consultation, and support to ensure organizational compliance with the Adult Guardianship Act (AGA)</li>\n <li>leads the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of PHC’s Adult Guardianship Protection Program</li>\n <li>manages the planning, revision, and delivery of ReACT Adult Protection education modules for Social Work staff across PHC</li>\n <li>oversees clinical and consultative services by providing leadership and guidance on adult protection cases, policy development, and implementation</li>\n <li>ensures assessment and alignment of procedures related to adult abuse, neglect, and self-neglect in accordance with AGA and Designated Agency obligations</li>\n <li>represents PHC at provincial and regional committees (e.g., AGAPAC, Regional Adult Protection Committee, HAAGCOP)</li>\n <li>develops and maintains strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including patients and families, government representatives, legal counsel, insurers, and community agencies (e.g., Vancouver Police, BC Public Guardian and Trustee, ReAct Adult Protection Program, Community Living BC)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Bring</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Training and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university</li>\n <li>post-graduate continuing education in working with vulnerable/incapable adults, including completion of the ReAct Adult Protection Curriculum (Modules 1–10)</li>\n <li>five (5) years of recent related experience working with adult abuse, neglect, and vulnerable adult populations, including one (1) year of teaching, preceptoring, and/or coaching experience</li>\n <li>qualified health care provider (as defined by AGS 2.1) with experience conducting incapability assessments under statutory property guardianship (AGA 2.1) and health care consent and care facility admissions legislation, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience</li>\n <li>current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>comprehensive knowledge of social work theory and practice</li>\n <li>demonstrated knowledge of adult guardianship, health care consent and care facility admissions, mental health legislation, patients property act, and related legislation</li>\n <li>demonstrated ability to conduct complex social and psychosocial assessments, including investigations of abuse, neglect, and self-neglect</li>\n <li>demonstrated ability to provide clinical teaching, facilitation, mentorship, coaching, and presentations to individuals and groups</li>\n <li>demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and provide clinical guidance and education</li>\n <li>demonstrated ability to apply adult education principles</li>\n <li>demonstrated ability to develop education programs and learning resources</li>\n <li>ability to develop, review, evaluate, and write clinical protocols and guidelines</li>\n <li>thorough knowledge of community resources and relevant legislation</li>\n
