This role will drive construction projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance with district standards. If you’re ready to take on a challenge and make a difference, apply now! </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages, overseas, and coordinates all facets of the pre-construction, bid and award,</li>\n <li>construction and close-out phase of all assigned projects.</li>\n <li>Reviews pre-construction documents and submits comments to Designer as necessary.</li>\n <li>Plans, organizes, and prepares reports to upper management with respect to the status and/or progress of the projects.</li>\n <li>Coordinates with all pertinent public agencies during pre-construction and construction to comply with all off-site work; coordinates with various District and Project staff.</li>\n <li>Manages both the project budget and schedule to meet the District’s qualitative standards; monitors project budget on a monthly basis and ensures that the budget accurately reflects the project status/progress.</li>\n <li>Manages the daily activities of the contractor, reviews contractors’ construction schedules and submittals, and coordinates responses to the contractors’ inquiries through the Requests for Clarifications (RFC) and other related documents.</li>\n <li>Reviews substitution submittals from contractors to ensure specification and/or District</li>\n <li>requirements are complied with.</li>\n <li>Receives, reviews, and negotiates Contractor Change Order Proposal(s) to achieve a fair &</li>\n <li>reasonable price in accordance with the General Conditions; reviews and addresses any and all</li>\n <li>Schedule impacts in accordance with the project specifications in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Reviews the process and monitors payments for the contractor, architects, engineers and any</li>\n <li>other pertinent parties.</li>\n <li>Administers provisions of Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the District Coordinates District delivery of related fixtures, furniture and equipment.</li>\n <li>Monitors and manages project close-out with respect to project certification with the Division of</li>\n <li>State Architects (DSA) and project financial close out.</li>\n <li>Perform other related duties assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>OR  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree. The candidate must be able to complete the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one (1) year of employment in the Facilities Services Division of the Los Angeles Unified School District</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>OR </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Possession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential may be substituted for the required education</li>\n <li>Ten (10) years of experience in Construction and/or a combination of Project and Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction. Three (3) years of the ten (10) years should have full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values of more than $10M</li>\n <li>Design Build Experience</li>\n <li>Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)</li>\n <li>Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)</li>\n <li>Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes</li>\n <li>Safety and OSHA Safety Regulations (OSHA 30 minimum)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary Range:  $150,000 - $170,000 per year</p>\n<p>Location: Los Angeles, CA</p>\n<p>Work Environment: 100% Onsite</p>\n<h2>Our Company</h2>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation, Making a Difference</p>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm.
