Individual shall be Engineer of Record in several states.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities/Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Individuals assigned to this classification is responsible for implementing engineering project(s), including Construction Documents, Coordination with other disciplines, Permitting, Bidding and Construction Administration in accordance with client</li><li>requirements and code.</li><li>Individual is to ensure high level of quality assurance on the product i.e., Construction documents, specifications, RFI responses etc.</li><li>Able to complete the job requirement of Project Engineer successfully.</li><li>Research, develop and keep updated with latest design in coordination with vendor, senior engineer and other online resources.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of discipline specific codes and other building codes.</li><li>Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Good leadership skills to educate client on design and other project requirements.</li><li>Meet with the Project Architect and Project Manager to discuss the design scope, schedule, budget, phasing, site issues, and design review issues.</li><li>Estimate discipline man-hours required to complete the design requirements of a project.</li><li>Capable of serving as the main point of contact for a project or series of projects with one or several clients, the contractor and the consultants with limited input required from the Project Manager or Principle.</li><li>Ensure coordination with architectural and engineering disciplines.</li><li>Oversee the design and production of engineering construction documents and specifications for the projects/programs.</li><li>Maintain Cuhaci &amp; Peterson and/or the client’s standards.</li><li>Anticipate and resolve issues as they arise.</li><li>Provide on-going quality control throughout the project.</li><li>Obtain and perform peer review of documents.</li><li>Oversee setting up project budget(s) and completing designated scope of work within allotted time.</li><li>Communicate owner revisions and RFI’s.</li><li>Assist in representing the client’s interests at public hearings and meetings, as needed.</li><li>Provide customer service to client in order to maintain relationship.</li><li>Mentor and train engineering designer to successfully produce high quality construction documents and within the allotted budget.</li><li>Additional duties as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Active Listening.</li><li>Critical Thinking.</li><li><strong>Revit/AutoCad Knowledge</strong></li><li>Proficient in Engineering Modeling tools</li><li>Researching and writing reports/opinions.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.</li><li>Excellent Time Management.</li><li>Equipment selection.</li><li>Excellent judgement and decision making.</li><li>Excellent management of personnel resources – Motivating, developing and directing team members.</li><li>Negotiation (Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences)</li><li>Learning Strategies.</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</strong></p><p>Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, able to handle stressful situations and multi-tasking, able to work under time constraints, long hours may be required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Overtime (40+ hours) may be required as needed.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong></p><p>Must be able to handle stressful situations, multi-tasking, and working within reasonable time constraints to meet production schedules and budgets.
