We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and we expect that you will work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand our Water Treatment & Delivery practice and its capabilities through your technical design skills and management of design teams. In this role you will also take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks. </p>\n<p>Some of the key responsibilities may include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain and build a positive client relationship being the primary point of contact with the client during the design phase of projects;</li>\n <li>Complete diverse project tasks on water and wastewater projects;</li>\n <li>Independently prepare design calculations and reports;</li>\n <li>Plan and prepare or review technical specifications;</li>\n <li>Mentor and develop engineering design staff;</li>\n <li>Communicate project tasks between offices and design groups, a high level of coordination and communication skills required;</li>\n <li>Perform QA/QC and participate in constructability reviews of designs;</li>\n <li>Plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work as a part of a major project or small-moderate scope project;</li>\n <li>Manage multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables;</li>\n <li>Manage the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management;</li>\n <li>Effectively steward and build client relationships to repeat business; and</li>\n <li>Develop business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing or assisting with associated proposals.</li>\n <li>Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, environmental, mechanical, or related engineering discipline. (required)</li>\n <li>Advanced degree in related engineering field. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Professional registration (P.E.). (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 8 years of experience in water/wastewater consulting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience in detailed design of water/wastewater projects for industrial and municipal clients. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required)</li>\n <li>Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience managing engineering design staff. (required)</li>\n <li>Field work and overnight travel may be required.</li>\n <li>Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
