    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>The Work</u></strong></p>\n<p>The Instructional Designer I designs and develops curriculum in accordance with the Instructional Systems Design model, Training and Performance Standard Operating Procedures, and Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation (FLETA) standards. This role will work closely with the curriculum manager, other instructional designers, other program offices, subject matter experts and multimedia specialists to design and develop lesson plans, student materials, and instructional media.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Applies principles of Adult Learning Theory to the design of all training materials.</li>\n <li>Designs, develops, and/or edits lesson plans, presentations, activities and other course material.</li>\n <li>Designs and develops curriculum based on sound Instructional Systems Design principles.</li>\n <li>Identifies appropriate training delivery mechanisms.</li>\n <li>Identifies training gaps and makes recommendations to minimize or eliminate training gaps.</li>\n <li>Conducts needs assessments.</li>\n <li>Develops learning goals and objectives.</li>\n <li>Monitors courses and instructors against performance criteria.</li>\n <li>Performs course evaluation.</li>\n <li>Develop, maintain and ensure adherence to a course development schedule during the development cycle</li>\n <li>Stays current on policy, law and technology changes, as well as skill requirements and office directives to ensure up-to-date curriculum.</li>\n <li>Assists curriculum management by maintaining all curriculum records, scheduling curriculum reviews, conducting curriculum reviews, making recommendations for updates and changes, and tracking revision history.</li>\n <li>Evaluates pilot courses to ensure that they conform to Training and Performance Standard Operating Procedures, FLETA accreditation and adult education standards.</li>\n <li>Provides weekly updates of course activities to the curriculum manager.</li>\n <li>Provides the necessary support and guidance to achieve and retain all FLETA accreditation requirements for the Program Office.</li>\n <li>Manages multiple projects with overlapping timelines.</li>\n <li>Participates in every facet of the Instruction Design process with supervision and guidance.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications – Here’s What You Need</u></strong></p>\n<p>The qualifications and skills listed below are intended to provide a general overview of the requirements for this position. Additional qualifications, certifications, skills, or experience specific to the client’s requirements may be identified and requested upon award of the task order. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities as outlined by the client.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree with a concentration in adult learning, education or curriculum development, together with four (4) years of experience in curriculum design and development.</li>\n <li>Specialized knowledge or professional experience in several of the following: instructional systems design, education and adult learning principles, cooperative learning, programming and authoring tools.</li>\n <li>Must be familiar with standard concepts and practices in training and course development.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience working in all five phases of the Instructional Systems Design model preferred</li>\n <li>Familiarity with SharePoint preferred.</li>\n <li>Secret Clearnce is required.</li>\n <li>Due to the nature of work at the client’s site, U.S. Citizenship is required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass a background check.
