          "text": "<p>The <strong>Metal Shop Coordinator</strong>&#xa0;is responsible for&#xa0;overseeing the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the metal fabrication shop within an industrial facility. This role involves hands-on metalworking, coordination of personnel and projects, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise daily activities in the metal shop to support production, maintenance, and facility needs.&#xa0;</li><li>Operate and&#xa0;maintain&#xa0;metalworking equipment such as welders, shears, press brakes, plasma cutters, grinders, and CNC machines.&#xa0;</li><li>Perform and oversee welding and fabrication of structural and mechanical components used in facility operations.&#xa0;</li><li>Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all shop equipment; coordinate external service as needed.&#xa0;</li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols; maintain MSDS and safety documentation.&#xa0;</li><li>Monitor inventory levels of materials, tools, gases, and consumables; reorder&#xa0;supplies&#xa0;as necessary.&#xa0;</li><li>Work with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to fabricate parts and assemblies to specifications.&#xa0;</li><li>Train and supervise shop personnel and maintenance staff in proper tool use, fabrication methods, and safety.&#xa0;</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, including proper storage of materials.&#xa0;</li><li>Assist&#xa0;in layout design for shop workflow optimization and equipment placement.&#xa0;</li><li>Complete any other&#xa0;projects as&#xa0;assigned. &#xa0;</li></ul>",
