          "text": "<p>As a Junior Buyer, you will support a Category Manager with the purchasing and line management of your designated portfolio. You will work to maximize sales and profit of the product category.</p><p>The position includes coordination with key teams and working on several projects at a time, including retail pricing management, cost negotiations, inventory management, sales forecasting, and marketing content.</p><p>You will utilize data to drive decisions and ensure adherence to product ordering calendars and timelines.</p><p>This role is required to work onsite in our corporate office located in Coquitlam.</p><p><strong>Product Category Management,</strong> <em>which includes but is not limited to:&#xa0;</em></p><ul><li>Be the expert for your portfolio through understanding market trends, competitor analysis, and consumer needs&#xa0;</li><li>Assist in the management of the product line assortment, forecast sales mix and create pricing strategy under the direction of a Category Manager&#xa0;</li><li>Maximize profitability and sales aligned with your financial targets&#xa0;</li><li>Identify growth and savings opportunities&#xa0;</li><li>Manage large data sets to support decision-making, using Power BI tools and Excel&#xa0;</li><li>Manage demand and promotional planning to ensure an optimal inventory level&#xa0;</li><li>Maintain price and product spec accuracy in our systems&#xa0;</li><li>Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure your category success (including planning, marketing, e-commerce, and store operations)</li></ul><p><strong>Sales and Marketing Management</strong>:&#xa0;<em>which includes but is not limited to:&#xa0;</em></p><ul><li>Work with Marketing team for all campaigns, ensuring optimal representation of your product portfolio in all executions&#xa0;</li><li>Select the best products for each campaign and determine the optimal sales price&#xa0;</li><li>Evaluate and optimize campaigns based on performance results&#xa0;</li><li>Work with the Visual Merchandising team to ensure best display in-store to attract, engage consumers and improve customers’ experience&#xa0;</li></ul><p><strong>What does this role offer you?</strong></p><ul><li>The possibility of being part of a growing strong retailer that has been present in Canada for 29 years</li><li>Be a part of a dynamic team and culture</li><li>The opportunity to have a rewarding career with access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities for career advancement</li><li>A great benefit package (including medical, vision and dental, and RRSP program)</li><li>Discounts with local and national retailers (cell phones, gym memberships, entertainment tickets, hotels, etc.) through Perkopolis</li><li>A free 24/7 Employee Assistance Program available to you and your family</li><li>An amazing colleague discount on all JYSK products</li></ul><p><strong>What do you bring to the role?</strong></p><ul><li>2-5 years of experience in retail buying or related field</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred</li><li>Excel skills and database knowledge with the ability to create reports and analyze statistics (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.)</li><li>Detail-oriented and organized, with strong analytical skills and an efficient work ethic</li><li>A self-motivated individual with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team</li><li>Excellent teamwork, team building, and project coordination skills</li><li>Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with key internal and external business partners</li><li>Adaptable and able to work in an environment with conflicting and changing priorities</li><li>Strong problem identification and resolution skills</li><li>Advanced user of MS Office</li><li>Resourceful and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision</li><li>Excellent communication and time management skills</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation:</strong>&#xa0;Generally, the hiring range for this position is<strong>&#xa0;$48,000 to $55,000 annually</strong>; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.</p><p>JYSK Canada is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
