    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Job Overview</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>This position is responsible for welcoming guests to the annual San Diego County Fair and ensuring proper admission at the gates, providing excellent customer service for the ticketing department.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitors that all patrons, guests, staff, exhibitors, and contractors have proper tickets or credentials before allowing them to enter.</li>\n<li>Resolves any scanning issues in a timely and respectful manner.</li>\n<li>Understands and explains ticketing policies and procedures to customers.</li>\n<li>Provides hand stamps to customers who are temporarily leaving the facilities.</li>\n<li>Performs other related duties as assigned or requested when needed.</li>\n<li>Operates ticket scanning equipment and provides guidance for other employees in its proper use.</li>\n<li>Adheres to opening and closing procedures for assigned gates.</li>\n<li>Prevents the admittance of persons without tickets or credentials at ticket gate.</li>\n<li>Provides excellent customer service by interacting courteously, answering questions accurately, and resolving complaints for customers attending events.</li>\n<li><span>Promotes the District's F.A.I.R. values by creating a quality guest experience for both internal and external customers.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Qualifications</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>Must be able to quickly learn the layout of the fairgrounds and general information.</li>\n<li>Ability to work cooperatively with team members and others.</li>\n<li>Must be detail-oriented and a quick learner.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Working Conditions</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work is performed in a fast-paced environment at gate entrances, indoors and outdoors.</li>\n<li>Job duties require the ability to be stationary and stand for extended periods of time.</li>\n<li>Work may require moving supplies of up to 20 pounds.</li>\n<li>Work may involve a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.</li>\n<li>Repetitive motions are necessary when using ticket scanners.</li>\n<li>Work may involve exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, and exhaust fumes.</li>\n</ul>",
