          "text": "<p>Timmons Group is seeking&#xa0;<strong>Civil Project Engineer II or III&#xa0;</strong>candidates for our&#xa0;<strong>Land Development</strong>&#xa0;Group located<strong>&#xa0;</strong>in&#xa0;our&#xa0;<strong>Washington, DC </strong>office.&#xa0;</p><p>Projects range from large scale industrial and distribution projects to public land development projects like schools, jails, fire stations, community centers and parks.&#xa0;We assist our clients with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support.&#xa0; Our project engineers will typically work in a team of 2-3 design engineers and a project manager to bring our client’s vision to life.&#xa0; The complexity and fast paced nature of our client’s needs creates a dynamic environment for our team members and fosters a culture of teamwork, diverse training opportunities, and builds a sense of ownership in the successful outcome of the project.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong>&#xa0;of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Design project components using office software, modeling tools, and AutoCAD Civil 3D</li><li>Perform engineering calculations and problem-solving using formulas and computer tools</li><li>Prepare material specifications through research and equipment catalogs</li><li>Develop design details and complete plan sets</li><li>Conduct research and prepare objective summary reports for project completion</li><li>Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates</li><li>Perform field observations, inspections, and data collection as directed</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients and internal design teams under senior staff guidance</li></ul><p><strong>Skills/Requirements</strong>&#xa0;of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field</li><li>EIT preferred</li><li>2–8 years of professional experience in land development civil engineering preferred (entry-level candidates will be considered)</li><li>Experience preparing civil engineering site plans (site layout, utilities, grading &amp; drainage, erosion control, stormwater management) is a plus</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>",
