This role is responsible for day-to-day HR functions, with a central focus on leading and managing all onsite union-related matters, including contract interpretation, grievance administration, and labor-management communications. While this role has a strong focus on the manufacturing plant, a key component is partnering with and supporting the Pennsylvania Region to oversee and execute cultural events and engagement initiatives across the broader region. WHAT YOU WILL DO Lead and manage all daily union-related activities for the facility, including contract interpretation, grievance administration from investigation to resolution, and ongoing labor-management communications. Serve as the primary on-site HR contact for all manufacturing employees, union representatives, and front-line leadership, guiding policies, procedures, and employee relations matters. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations into employee concerns and complaints, ensuring fairness and consistency. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including performance management and disciplinary actions, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and safety regulations within the plant. Facilitate a comprehensive and engaging onboarding experience for new hires that embeds company culture and safety from day one. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to build a robust pipeline for critical manufacturing roles. Coordinate and execute regional cultural events, engagement programs, and community outreach activities. Serve as the regional cultural ambassador, championing company values and ensuring local initiatives are aligned with the regional and corporate culture strategy. Act as a key liaison for the region’s engagement survey, driving participation at the plant level and assisting in developing local action plans based on the results. Identify and propose cultural and engagement opportunities that support the regional strategy. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or unionized environment. Direct experience with labor relations, including grievance handling, contract interpretation, and daily union interface. Experience handling employee relations investigations and performance management. Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, NLRA). Willingness to travel up to 25% within the region.
