    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION:</strong></p><p>Mental Health Techs at the Brattleboro Retreat help meet the needs of children, adolescents and adults who have been hospitalized for mental health issues. &nbsp;For example, Mental Health Techs will:</p><ul><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; provide direct supervision and patient support</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; engage patients in therapeutic activities</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; organize and run group programs. &nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</h2><p>May be required to perform duties of lesser, equal or greater responsibility.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>QUALIFICATIONS:</h2><p>&nbsp;</p><p>1. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Bachelor&#39;s degree in a human service related field with an emphasis on behavioral sciences OR high school diploma and preferably 2 years (minimum1 year) related experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting.</p><p>2. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with co-workers and all members of the treatment team.</p><p>3. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Current active VT Nursing Assistant licensure preferred.</p><p>4. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must have valid driver&#39;s license without any record of motor vehicle violations or convictions limiting driving privileges. &nbsp;(See Human Resource Employment Policy for further details.)</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2><strong>ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR RESIDENTIAL AND ARCC Mental Health Tech POSITIONS:</strong></h2><p class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;</p><ol type=\"1\"><li class=\"MsoNormal\">Bachelor&#39;s degree and <u>21</u> years of age <u>and</u> experience working with children and youth; OR &nbsp;High School Diploma or GED and 21 years of age <u>and</u> two years&#39; experience interacting with children and youth.</li><li class=\"MsoNormal\">Must have valid driver&#39;s license without any record of motor vehicle violations or convictions limiting driving privileges <em>for day or evening shifts. &nbsp;Valid unrestricted driver&#39;s license is preferred for overnight shifts.</em>&nbsp; (See Human Resource Employment Policy for further details.)</li></ol></div></div>\n<br/>day shift and night shift available<br/>24 hrs/week and 36 hrs/week available",
