Apply today! </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Whitewater's Engineering Services team is looking for a candidate to join our team in Richmond, BC in the following role: </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position:</span> Civil-Structural Engineering Intern</span><br><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Department:</span> Engineering Services</span><br><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> Richmond, BC, Canada</span><br><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reports to:</span> Engineering Services Manager</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Purpose:</span></p>\n<p><br>WhiteWater West is seeking one Civil-Structural Engineering Intern to join our Engineering team at our Richmond head office for a 4 month term starting September 8, 2026 (possibility of an extension)! In this position, you will work under the guidance of a Professional Engineer registered in BC as you undertake a variety of tasks to assist the multi-disciplinary Engineering department. Examples of previous work assignments include: supporting Continuous Improvement efforts, creating design documentation, and occasional opportunities to assist in design evaluation activities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p>\n<p><br><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Responsibilities:</span></span><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review structural drawings to identify pre-engineered manufactured parts</li>\n<li>Work with staff to transition existing designs from legacy systems into the PLM database for water slide parts, structural elements, product assemblies, and electrical/mechanical items</li>\n<li>Analyze differences in worldwide materials standards and perform relevant calculations to propose standard substitutions</li>\n<li>Mark up existing drawings to identify parts either already in PLM or needing to be set up in PLM and work with staff to set up such parts</li>\n<li>Work within existing protocols for creation and file storage of all parts, assemblies, and drawings</li>\n<li>Occasional maintenance and rework of existing parts, assemblies, and drawings to conform to current protocols</li>\n<li>Occasional creation of CAD models, fabrication part drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs) for use by our manufacturers</li>\n<li>Occasional assistance with analysis of structural design elements</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as requested by the Design Manager</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications &amp; Experience:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participating or recently completed post-secondary design education (Civil Engineering Degree or Diploma)</li>\n<li>Proficient with CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks</li>\n<li>Knowledge of drawings standards (ASME Y14.100) would be a definite asset</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office</li>\n<li>Must be legally eligible to work in Canada </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competencies, Skills &amp; Abilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curious with the desire to understand and a passion to learn</li>\n<li>Ability to develop effective internal and external working relationships</li>\n<li>Exceptional ability to listen, communicate (written and oral) and collaborate</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-starter and energetic</li>\n<li><span>Detail-oriented with critical thinking</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Whitewater Competencies:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accountability – We do what we say</li>\n<li>Collaboration – We work well together</li>\n<li>Customer Focus – We know and respond to our customers</li>\n<li>Communication – We listen to and understand each other</li>\n<li>Authenticity – We are honest and trust each other</li>\n<li>Resilience – We deal effectively with pressure, are persistent and optimistic</li>\n<li>Flexibility &amp; Adaptability – We are willing and able to respond to changing circumstances</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>WhiteWater is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
