text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial;\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>General Description&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Charge RN in the Operating Room manages the daily flow of surgeries and procedures, schedules staffing as well as circulates and coordinates the surgical team in all aspects of O.R. activities, providing optimum perioperative nursing care for patients. The Charge RN is accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of the environment utilizing the nursing process. This role tracks and trends performance metrics for the OR. Scrub role familiarity a plus.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Leadership/supervisor experience with successfully growing a surgical team.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with managing staff assignments, staff scheduling, vacation planning, and forecasting staffing needs to align with the surgical block schedule.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with oversight for resource coordination including staffing, vendors, equipment (C-arm, ortho devices, robot).&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with patient progression in the surgical environment to expedite patient progression from pre-op to OR and PACU care.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent communication and delegation skills to foster service excellence.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements/Working Conditions&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting; must be able to stand/walk for up to 70% of the work day; must be able to lift , transfer, turn and position residents weighing up to 125 lbs. unassisted, or with the assistance of one for a resident weighing over 125 lbs.
