    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>Provide advanced practice nursing care specializing in behavioral health for patients across the lifespan in an ambulatory clinic and/or hospital setting. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, therapeutic intervention, and coordination of care with the interdisciplinary team. The NP/PMHNP plays a key role in improving access to behavioral health services and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization</li><li>Conduct psychiatric and behavioral health evaluations for new and established patients</li><li>Diagnose and manage mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, psychosis, and mood disorders</li><li>Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications in accordance with evidence-based practice and state/federal guidelines</li><li>Provide brief therapeutic interventions and supportive counseling as appropriate</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and nursing staff to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans</li><li>Educate patients and families regarding psychiatric diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management</li><li>Ensure continuity of care by coordinating referrals to specialty providers and community resources</li><li>Document all patient encounters in the electronic health record in a timely and accurate manner</li><li>Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives</li><li>Maintain licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements in accordance with state regulations</li><li>Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and cultural sensitivity in all patient and staff interactions</li><li>Serve as a resource for staff education on behavioral health topics and evidence-based practices</li><li>Provide crisis intervention and support in urgent or emergent psychiatric Practitioner license in the state of New Mexico (or eligibility for licensure)</li><li>Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preferred, or NP with documented behavioral health training and experience</li><li>Current DEA registration with authority to prescribe controlled substances</li><li>BLS certification required; ACLS preferred</li><li>Minimum of 1&ndash;2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings strongly preferred</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Professional
