Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong> Graduate from a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) program. <strong>Minimum of an associate degree</strong> related to the teaching discipline from an accredited institution, meeting CCAF teaching discipline requirements.</li>\n <li><strong>Knowledge and Skills:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Familiarity with Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Department of Transportation (DOT) curriculum and objectives.</li>\n   <li>Understanding of advanced trauma treatment, including Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) (preferred but not required).</li>\n   <li>Experience with pre-hospital care for Air Force Medical Technicians (4N0X1), trauma scenario development, and limited medication usage in primary care.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Certifications:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>National certification as an EMT, Advanced EMT (AEMT), or Paramedic through NREMT.</li>\n   <li>Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of 5 years of EMS field experience as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic.</li>\n <li><strong>Licensure/CEUs:</strong> Candidates are responsible for maintaining licensure/certifications and completing required continuing education units (CEUs).</li>\n <li><strong>Internship:</strong> Complete the CCAF teaching internship within 30 days to 12 months of assignment, including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>120 hours of supervised teaching.</li>\n   <li>30 hours each in curriculum development, test administration/review, and academic counseling.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide course instruction based on the Government-supplied curriculum for EMT and limited primary care.</li>\n <li>Teach in diverse environments, including classrooms, labs, and outdoor settings at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.</li>\n <li>Deliver didactic and hands-on training in areas such as:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Anatomy, physiology, cardiac life support, and sanitation.</li>\n   <li>First aid, shock management, respiratory maintenance, and wound care.</li>\n   <li>Fractures, burns, chemical injuries, and advanced nursing skills.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Use approved training aids and materials to enhance learning outcomes.</li>\n <li>Review and update lesson plans, study guides, tests, and other instructional aids to ensure relevance and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Maintain current knowledge of EMT standards, practices, and procedures to support instruction quality.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Offers:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monday-Friday Full time</li>\n <li>11 Paid Federal Holidays</li>\n <li>PTO </li>\n <li>Medical/Dental/Vision/401k</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>For More Information Contact:</strong></p>\n<p>Laura Hatcher</p>\n<p>314-744-4156</p>\n<p>[email protected]</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Company Overview: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
