We are one Snap-on team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Snap-on Elizabethton, Tennessee is seeking CNC Operators to manufacture the best professional grade tool.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:  </strong>    Set-up and operate, in a safe manner, any and/or all machining, automation and polishing equipment within a production cell.  This will include all quality checks per the control plan.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>KEY</u></strong><strong><u> TASKS</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates and fixtures.</li>\n <li>Remove and replace dull cutting tools</li>\n <li>Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machine, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.</li>\n <li>Listen to machine during operation in order to detect sounds as those made by dull cutting tools and adjust machines to compensate</li>\n <li>Adjust machine feeds and speed, change cutting tools or adjust machine controls when necessary.</li>\n <li>Stop machine or remove finished workpieces or to change tooling according to required machining sequences</li>\n <li>Calculate machine speed and fee ratios and the size and position of cuts</li>\n <li>Check to ensure that workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operations</li>\n <li>Set-up and operate computer controlled machines or robots to perform one or more machine functions.</li>\n <li>Confer with supervisor or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions or errors.</li>\n <li>Monitor machine operation and control panel displays</li>\n <li>Maintain machines and remove/replace broken/worn tools</li>\n <li>Clean machines as needed</li>\n <li>Stack/load finished items into containers</li>\n <li>Set-up future jobs while machine is operating</li>\n <li>All individuals must be flexible to rotate within any ratchet body cell.</li>\n <li>Meet and also exceed required productivity levels</li>\n <li>Support and adhere to all 6-S and TPM requirements. Wear the proper personal protective equipment distributed and approved by the company.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as necessary.</li>\n <li>Perform all necessary quality checks per the quality control plan.</li>\n <li>Flexible to work overtime is required.</li>\n <li>Support continuous improvement</li>\n <li>Meet and also exceed required productivity levels.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<p>High School diploma or 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience.</p>\n<p>Level 4 CRC Preferred</p>\n<p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions. Work from drawings, specifications and formulas involving limited detail. Use and interpret measuring equipment.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL COMMENTS</strong></p>\n<p>Use precise judgment to plan and perform work; make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within the limit of recognized or standard methods and procedures.</p>",
