Description The Survey Research Center at the University of Southern Maine’s Catherine Cutler Institute has immediate openings for temporary part-time survey field researchers. The Survey Research Center conducts several short- and long-term projects each year. We are currently seeking individuals to conduct roadside observations for a highway safety project. This project involves traveling throughout the state of Maine to specified locations. Each workday will last between 9 and 11 hours, depending on travel time. The schedule may involve weekends and overnights. Total number of hours worked per week may vary. Pay is $18.50 per hour, and a mileage reimbursement of $0.67 per mile is provided. This position includes mandatory training which will be held on May 29 in Portland, Maine. Personal transportation and a valid driver’s license are necessary. The Catherine Cutler Institute , which is the research arm of the Muskie School of Public Service, collaborates with partners throughout the nation and across the world to find sustainable practical solutions to critical societal issues.
