We help modernize U.S. military installations, Department of Defense and other federal agency facilities to be smarter, more resilient, efficient, sustainable, and secure.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><br></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Location: Onsite in Schenectady, NY<br>Pay Range: $30 -$34 /hour<br>Shift: </span></span><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Primary hours are</span> <span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">7:00-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.</span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\"><br>Benefits:</span></span><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\"> Eligible for benefits on first day of employment<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Vacation:</span> 3 weeks of paid vacation per calendar year</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">As a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Fire Alarm Technician</span>, you will:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Under direct supervision, completes assigned programming, commissioning, basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems per contract obligations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Assists experienced personnel with solutions to systems problems, either troubleshooting the system or advising others on how to resolve problems. Requires understanding of core and third party fire products, software and systems electrical technology. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Assists in performing required commissioning documentation. Provide accurate information for as-builts documentation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Conducts testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Adheres to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Maintains appropriate local and National Fire Industry Certifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Continuous proactive customer interactions including an in-depth understanding of customer(s) needs wants and systems currently in place. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Completes paperwork and on site documentation as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Performs other duties as assigned</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Required Qualifications:<br><br></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">High School diploma or equivalent education</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Two or more years' experience with commercial fire alarm or fire suppression systems </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Basic computer skills </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance to support this site required.
