You’ll help lead our efforts in applying new technologies in support of designing and building US Navy Nuclear Submarines. You will use your skills with data integration, data visualization, big data and programming to do the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Wrangling, preprocessing and manipulating data for use in ML algorithms</li>\n <li>Designing, developing, testing, deploying and tuning AI models</li>\n <li>Designing, writing and reviewing code that consumes, analyzes, and manipulates large data sets</li>\n <li>Developing proficiency with deep learning algorithms, design considerations and methods to overcome limitations and constraints due to hardware or data </li>\n <li>Helping to establish a new, core data science team</li>\n <li>Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand domain-specific data and requirements across a variety of domains</li>\n <li>Quantifying and explaining data quality, and performing statistical analysis to describe data and usage</li>\n <li>Discovering and articulating use cases for tools and data that account for data limitations</li>\n <li>Contributing to the direction, progress and completion of ML projects</li>\n <li>Creating and refining processes and procedures to manage, verify, consume, and distribute data</li>\n <li>Assisting in creation of technical proposals, whitepapers, and customer presentations </li>\n <li>Helping to ensure compliance with data security, AI governance and ethical guidelines</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Electric Boat offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allows for some work to be performed remotely and at home. Please ask for details to understand the extent to which it can be supported</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or engineering</li>\n <li>Minimally five years of post-graduate engineering experience</li>\n <li>Minimally five years of experience developing and deploying AI models using relevant frameworks and libraries (PyTorch, scikit-learn)</li>\n <li>Minimally five years of experience with Linux command line (bash and shell scripting)</li>\n <li>Minimally five years of experience working with large, complex datasets</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the Department of Defense</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency in writing, testing and debugging code in Python and using tools like Jupyter Notebooks and Google Co-Lab</li>\n <li>Proficiency with version control systems or DevOps tools (Git, Docker, Kubernetes)</li>\n <li>Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent technical degree</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<p>A cognizant engineer at Electric Boat:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures alignment with EB's purpose, vision, and values in all they do.</li>\n <li>Maintains complete and total ownership of their assigned work (quality, cost, and schedule performance).</li>\n <li>Understands that their signature signifies ownership and responsibility.</li>\n <li>Speaks up and stops any work that is not being conducted in accordance with standards.</li>\n <li>Develops the broad and deep knowledge needed for their role and understands how their work fits into the larger whole.</li>\n <li>Keeps developing their skills, is aware of the limits of their knowledge, and seeks input from mentors and experts.</li>\n <li>Commits to the success of their team, not just their personal success.</li>\n <li>Maintains detailed, well-organized records of their work.</li>\n <li>Identifies and implements improvement ideas as a routine part of their work.</li>\n <li>Effectively communicates technical and programmatic information to their team, management, and stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Continually assesses risk throughout a project and develops mitigation plans production.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Environmental Attributes</h2>Inside",
