We welcome candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our academic community.</p>\n<h2>Description</h2>\n<p> The Clinical Research Nurse II will support human physiology studies by performing specialized research procedures—including vascular assessments, ultrasound, and microneurography—while ensuring high standards of participant safety and care. Responsibilities include conducting clinical research visits, managing participant recruitment and screening, reviewing laboratory results, and maintaining accurate and compliant research documentation. The role also oversees data collection, monitors adverse events, ensures protocol and regulatory adherence, and supports the safe handling of investigational drugs or devices. This position provides training to research coordinators and lab staff on clinical procedures and screening workflows, collaborates closely with principal investigators and multidisciplinary teams, and contributes to study reports, publications, and presentations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinates, implements and evaluates clinical research trials, studies and projects. </li>\n <li>Provides direction in the development of research protocols. </li>\n <li>Recruits and screens potential study participants and develops and conducts patient and family education accordingly. </li>\n <li>Oversees financial accounts to ensure operations remain within approved levels. </li>\n <li>Performs patient evaluations, administers medications and research instruments and provides nursing support to perform specialized diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures. </li>\n <li>Makes referrals to in-house or community professionals and serves as clinical resource. </li>\n <li>Collects data, assists in developing data collection systems and compiles reports. </li>\n <li>May provide infusion duties. </li>\n <li>Assists in writing research grants, publications in medical and nursing literature, study materials, brochures and correspondence. </li>\n <li>Provides direction and may supervise other Research Nurses or other support members.</li>\n <li> Performs related responsibilities as required. </li>\n <li>Employees in this classification may be required to work with, take specific precautions against and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia and three years of related nursing experience. </li>\n <li>Must be credentialed through Emory Healthcare under the category of RN II. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
