Description

Occupational Therapist The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides individualized and group-based therapeutic services to support students’ functional participation in academic, social, and daily living activities. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the OT designs and implements interventions that promote sensory regulation, fine motor development, executive functioning, and adaptive skills in alignment with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) . The Mill Pond Schools, with locations in Springfield and the Berkshires, serve students—kindergarten through age 22—who have social-emotional and/or behavioral challenges, a learning disability, or who may have a diagnosis of high-functioning Autism. We are committed to serving the whole child, including the child’s family. Our goal is to assist students in developing the skills necessary to successfully return to a less-restrictive environment, and, ultimately, to their previous school setting. Schedule Monday shift, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday – Friday shifts, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. This role supports operations across multiple sites and requires consistent on-site presence at both locations. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program Current Massachusetts OT license Experience working with neurodiverse children and adolescents in educational or clinical settings Strong understanding of sensory integration, trauma-informed care, and developmental disabilities Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Competitive Salary/Comprehensive Benefit Package Helix Human Services is an inclusive organization.
