We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsible for performing standard and investigative laboratory work in support of scientific research by performing bench-level experiments, operating analytical instruments, recovering, compiling and verifying the accuracy of research data; performing calculations; preparing charts, graphs and summaries.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, all employees are expected to demonstrate a commitment to our values of collaboration, compassion, determination, excellence, innovation, integrity, and respect. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform experiments at the bench level to support investigative work.</li>\n <li>Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents, stocks, cultures or cell lines.</li>\n <li>Perform and modify documented protocols and assays.</li>\n <li>Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments and assays.</li>\n <li>Interpret and report on experimental results.</li>\n <li>Perform statistical analysis of test results and prepare written reports on work performed.</li>\n <li>Operate and carry out basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.</li>\n <li>Order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.</li>\n <li>May supervise work-study students.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated basic laboratory skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with isolation of human PBMCs from peripheral blood and leukapheresis products.</li>\n <li>Multicolor flow cytometry panel staining experience.</li>\n <li>Experience with DNA and RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, PCR and qPCR.</li>\n <li>Computational & data analysis experience including FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, R, Excel data management, statistical analysis, figure preparation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.33 to $33.21 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.</p>\n<p>Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees access to a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program, paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked), and prorated paid holidays (up to 13 days per year).</p>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) Employer.
