    "description": "<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary:</span></p>\n<p><span>In a manufacturing setting, we are looking to add a Automation Technician to our manufacturing team in Houston who will be</span><span> responsible for engineering, testing, maintaining and supporting automation solutions.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Type:</span>  Full-time, permanent (Crosby, TX)</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule:</span> Monday - Friday</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Program logic-controlled equipment to achieve production, quality, and safety expectations </span></li>\n<li><span>Provide technical automation support during production breakdowns as well as new equipment installations, commissioning, retrofits and continuous improvement projects;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Assist in equipment malfunction investigation to increase equipment reliability by identifying root cause, determining corrective actions/preventative measures, and following up on any deviations;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Perform setup and calibration for process and control instrumentation such as: Flow meters, Temperature and Pressure transducers;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Determine and program parameters for variable frequency drivers and servo drives;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Install and commission new necessary instrumentation for additional data collection as per requests from Engineering and/or Operations team;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Maintain and continuously develop existing plant control systems;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Perform routine diagnostic checks on equipment, electrical panels, and control systems;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Research new industrial automation equipment, instruments, controls and materials available on the market for use in a manufacturing environment;</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Follow all safety regulations, such as Arc Flash protection and use of Personal Protective Equipment;</span><br><br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in automation.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree and/or relevant experience;</li>\n<li>Thorough understanding of PLCs, HMIs, including advanced programming techniques and configurations. (Experience with B&amp;R Automation, Rockwell Automation and/or Automation Direct);</li>\n<li>Knowledge of VFD &amp; Servo Motor Control;</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Industrial Networking.
