    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Fossil Fuels Maintenance Specialist / System Owner&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Plant Scherer</strong></p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>System Owner / Maintenance Specialist :</strong>&nbsp;System Owners are responsible for the overall health and reliability of the equipment within their system. They share responsibility for developing, monitoring, and revising the Maintenance Strategy on their systems.&nbsp; They also have responsibility for creating and managing system budgets.&nbsp; All these responsibilities require System Owners to work closely with all departments' as required actions are identified and implemented.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>\n<p>This position will be filled at a level 4 or 5 based on experience.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong><u>Job Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Review Work Orders daily; communicate with the planner if any changes are needed.</li>\n <li>Perform physical walk-downs of the system (at a minimum once a week)</li>\n <li>System owners are responsible, through fleet-wide initiatives and established processes, for developing, monitoring, and revising the maintenance strategy.&nbsp; This includes the approval process through the plant review board (PRB) and Maintenance Strategy Governance process.</li>\n <li>Administer the work order management system by effectively communicating system needs through the prioritization of work orders, providing detailed work scopes, coordination, and execution of the weekly work plan.</li>\n <li>Participate in the weekly planning meetings. Be prepared to present &nbsp;justification for work on the system being planned in future week schedules.</li>\n <li>Identify and maintain O&amp;M budget requirements on the system.</li>\n <li>Monitor financial spending on the system to accurately project monthly budgets.</li>\n <li>Responsible for tracking and providing input to O&amp;M and Capital budget development.&nbsp; Must provide monthly projections regarding contractor labor, services, material, parts, and equipment needs while efficiently managing costs associated with these resources.&nbsp;Balance budget and reliability needs by approving / disapproving or rescheduling of work orders.</li>\n <li>Optimize Warehouse inventory for the System.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of relevant computer applications that support planning, execution, monitoring and close-out of daily, outage and special project work scopes, these include but are not limited to Maximo, Tableau, OIS, Word and Excel.</li>\n <li>Provide subject matter expertise to maintenance personnel including OEM specs, manuals, and procedures to accomplish work on owned system equipment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Establish a working relationship with key vendors and SCS personnel; gather and analyze acceptance data on new/rebuilt equipment and stay informed of current technology.</li>\n <li>Execute major maintenance or replacement activities by providing specific technical direction and coordination of assigned maintenance crews and/or contractor personnel while monitoring quality, cost, and adherence to contract specifications as well as equipment specs and maintenance procedures</li>\n <li>Must be able to work nights, weekends and/or holidays as necessary</li>\n <li>Will be responsible for On-Call Duties</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Job Requirements</u></strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fuels Supply System Experience preferred</li>\n <li>Chapter 12 Contract Administration Training preferred</li>\n <li>LOTO Coordinator preferred</li>\n <li>CRM Trained is strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Maximo and Microsoft Office Suit</li>\n <li>Budget management experience preferred</li>\n <li>System Owner experience preferred&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Lockout Tagout Experience &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp; <strong><u>Behavioral Attributes</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Self-motivation and demonstrated initiative are required for this position.\n  <ul>\n   <li>The ability to communicate and work effectively in teams with varied individuals (craft personnel, supervisory, staff, and management) is required.&nbsp;</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Must perform all responsibilities each day with a safety-focused mindset.</li>\n <li>Must represent yourself and the company with the utmost integrity, ethical behavior and professionalism.</li>\n <li>Ability to make decisions and demonstrate short/long-term strategic planning skills.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Ability to work with people to achieve organizational objectives.\n    <ul>\n     <li>Ability to interface with vendors and contractors while representing the best interests of Southern Company.</li>\n    </ul></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>",
