Our approach to treatment is a group approach, based around peer support and mutual self-help. Our team contributes to our client's recovery journey by demonstrating positive and healthy behaviours (role modelling), engaging in supportive counselling, containment and crisis intervention, and participating alongside residents in community living activities (participating in mealtimes and outdoor recreation activities). </span><span style=\"color: rgb(45, 45, 45)\">This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in a career in social work or counselling to work in and learn about a unique model of treatment.</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Hours of Work:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"color: rgb(45, 45, 45)\"> Our full time overnight staff are scheduled from 10pm to 8am, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">4 days/wk</span> on a two-week rotation. font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Role Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Supervise residents in daily activities </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Provide mental health and crisis support</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Monitor the treatment centre during overnights, in the absence of full-time staff</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Interact with residents consistent with individual treatment needs and treatment plans</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Lead and participate in programs </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Administrative supports for residents</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Perform light housekeeping chores including laundry, clean staff offices, etc. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Facilitate crisis intervention and supportive counseling/containment </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Conduct bed checks </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Provide peer mentorship and coaching to the team</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Conduct/inform staff briefing in between shifts </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Facilitate medication administration for residents and complete related documentation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Maintain professional boundaries and relationships</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Make referrals to internal and/or external programs or services, as appropriate</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Attend all mandatory training programs and team meetings </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Complete required documentation such as the Communication Log, program notes and Incident Reports </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Liaise and support Therapeutic Community staff</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Prepare for and attend regularly scheduled clinical supervisions </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Support planned and unplanned resident discharges</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">College Diploma or University Degree relevant to mental health, addiction or Social Services </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Minimum six months of progressive experience in addictions or mental health; experience in concurrent disorders or trauma informed practice an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Previous experience in residential treatment an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Previous experience with justice-involved individuals an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Food Handlers Certification is an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt\">Lived experience related to addictions and/or mental health an asset<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;
