Apply today to our PAID CNA Training Track! </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong><em>CNA Trainee (Support Aide)</em></strong> provides insight into the direct care role by providing the opportunity to work alongside our clinicians, completing tasks for our resident population. Apply to be a <em><strong>CNA Trainee (Support Aide)</strong></em> and be slotted into the next available Nurse Aide Training Program to become a CNA. You must be available Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm for the course (times may vary slightly) and commit to FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT upon completion. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CNA Trainee (Support Aide) Overview:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Combined clinical and classroom training</li>\n <li>You will begin by working alongside current staff members in a Support Aide role (ideally for 2-3 weeks). You will then engage in a 4 week course with a clinical component. </li>\n <li>Once you pass, your status (and pay rate) will be adjusted from Support Aide to CNA. </li>\n <li>Elderwood will pay for the CNA certification test as well as any applicable onboarding requirements, including but not limited to PPD and Physical for eligible candidates.</li>\n <li>Training is PAID - you will be clocked in during training hours and get paid while you train.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>(CNA Trainee - Support Aide):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Transport residents or accompanies ambulatory residents as assigned to various locations in the building including the dining room, activity program areas, therapy or treatment areas.</li>\n <li>Make unoccupied resident beds, as assigned.</li>\n <li><p>Assist in the Dining Room with food service to residents, under the direction of licensed therapy staff; duties include passing trays, cutting meat, opening cartons or other containers.</p></li>\n <li><p>Distribute supplemental nourishments to residents who do not need to be fed, as directed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct informal activities on the nursing unit when time permits, as directed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Supply fresh water in resident's rooms, as directed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Prepare bed and bedwear of resident's at hour of sleep, as assigned.</p></li>\n <li><p>Help keep general areas of the assigned nursing unit neat and orderly, as directed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Clean resident's equipment (wheelchair/geri chair, bed, etc.), as assigned.</p></li>\n <li><p>Keep the rooms of residents orderly, as assigned.</p></li>\n <li><p>Notify therapist of any unusual incidents regarding residents. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>From</h2>\n<h2>Up to</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>(CNA Trainee - Support Aide):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Sixteen (16) years of age required; high school diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n <li>Employment Certificate/Permit required for 16-17 years of age. </li>\n <li>No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property through any current or previous licensing agency.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
