This role includes working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients, ensuring services are accessible, culturally responsive and inclusive of communication needs. ReDiscover serves as the Western Deaf Services Specialized Outpatient Center (SOC) for the Missouri Department of Mental Health’s Office of Deaf Services. Staff in this role benefit from ongoing consultation and collaboration with the Office of Deaf Services as well as the Eastern Deaf Services SOC team. What You'll Do Evaluate client’s mental health condition based on the review of client information, including bio-psycho-social assessments, psychological evaluation, and diagnostics. Act as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations; may coordinate with internal and external crisis services as necessary. Counsel clients, individually (or in some cases, group sessions) specific to the program format, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. Maintain and interacts with a caseload of clients, including deaf and hard-of-hearing clients, with diverse characteristics with a focus on in-person care with some interactions over telehealth/phone. Conduct high quality clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in a timely manner. Identify and provide clinical interventions and referrals for clients based on their needs. Empower clients to develop and nurture the knowledge, skills, and support systems crucial to promoting optimal functioning in the community. Continually assess clients for level of progress or emergent needs and addresses those needs clinically. Collect information about the client through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records and reports. Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans for the client(s) being served. Requirements of the Position Availability to work a full-time schedule, (40-hours a week), Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health). At the minimum, candidates with advanced Missouri licensure such as Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW); candidates with a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is preferred. Deaf and hard-of-hearing candidates and other native American Sign Language (ASL) users are strongly encouraged to apply. All qualified ASL-fluent candidates will receive full consideration and may qualify for a pay incentive. Experience working with Deaf clients or in a Deaf community setting preferred. Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders. Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus. Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Microsoft Teams. Staff in this role benefit from ongoing consultation and collaboration with the Office of Deaf Services as well as the Eastern Deaf Services SOC team.\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nWhat You&#39;ll Do\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tEvaluate&nbsp;client&rsquo;s mental health condition based on the review of client information, including bio-psycho-social assessments, psychological evaluation, and diagnostics.\\r\\n\\tAct&nbsp;as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations; may coordinate with internal and external crisis services as necessary.\\r\\n\\tCounsel&nbsp;clients, individually (or in some cases, group sessions) specific to the program format, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.\\r\\n\\tMaintain&nbsp;and interacts with a caseload of clients, including deaf and hard-of-hearing clients,&nbsp;with diverse characteristics with a focus on in-person care with some interactions over telehealth/phone.\\r\\n\\tConduct&nbsp;high quality clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in a timely manner.\\r\\n\\tIdentify&nbsp;and provide clinical interventions and referrals for clients based on their needs.\\r\\n\\tEmpower&nbsp;clients to develop and nurture the knowledge, skills, and support systems crucial to promoting optimal functioning in the community.\\r\\n\\tContinually assess&nbsp;clients for level of progress or emergent needs and addresses those needs clinically.\\r\\n\\tCollect&nbsp;information about the client through interviews, observations, and tests.
