Join an organization where clinical excellence and community-centered care come together.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Position Overview</span></p>\n<p>The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Imaging Department provides patient-centered nursing care before, during, and after diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role is essential in ensuring patient safety, procedural efficiency, and high-quality outcomes across a variety of imaging services.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Position Details</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employment Type: PRN (as needed)</li>\n<li>Shift: Day Shift (1st shift; schedule varies)</li>\n<li>Department: Radiology / Imaging</li>\n<li>Travel: None required</li>\n<li>Supervisory Responsibilities: None</li>\n<li>Compensation: Commensurate with experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures</li>\n<li>Prepare and educate patients for procedures, including cardiac stress testing and biopsies</li>\n<li>Assist physicians and radiology staff with procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and biopsies</li>\n<li>Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, responding promptly to changes</li>\n<li>Administer medications, including IV contrast, in accordance with established protocols</li>\n<li>Establish and maintain IV access; assist with or perform PICC line placement as appropriate</li>\n<li>Coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina</li>\n<li>Certifications:\n<ul>\n<li>Basic Life Support (CPR) – required within one (1) month of hire</li>\n<li>Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within orientation period</li>\n<li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within orientation period</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Experience: Imaging, procedural, or outpatient nursing experience preferred; cardiac stress testing experience is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Core Competencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills</li>\n<li>Effective patient communication and education abilities</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment</li>\n<li>High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety</li>\n<li>Professionalism and accountability in all aspects of care</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Employment Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)</li>\n<li>Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Benefits</span></p>\n<p>PRN employees are eligible for select benefits in accordance with hospital policy.
