Helps to supervise the operations of the dental clinic, supervises the dental staff, and makes recommendations to Dental Director for any quality assurance projects.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provides all phases of general dentistry at or above the standard of care</li><li>Provides routine and emergency dentistry and refers to specialist if needed/available</li><li>Provides dental education and awareness to patients and community</li><li>Keeps complete and accurate dental records with good documentation</li><li>Ensures adequate follow-up and continuity of care</li><li>Learns IHC Policy and Procedures and coding</li><li>Knowledge of financial policies and funding source requirements, i.e. FQHC., private insurance, sliding scale, Medi-Cal, EAPC, Diabetes and other grants</li><li>Obligated to learn how to manage difficult cases &amp; difficult child patients since patients have a limited access to specialty services</li><li>Cross-trained for front desk and assisting functions in case of support staff shortage</li><li>Helps dental director carry out projects as directed</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Required Qualifications, Knowledge &amp; Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Possession of Active Dental License in good standing with the State of California and a <em>DEA&nbsp;</em>license</li><li>Successfully completed an American Dental Association accredited dental program (DDS or DMD)</li><li>Five or more years of clinical experience in general dentistry</li><li>Experience with kids under 6 years &amp; Nitrous Oxide</li><li>Experience with difficult extractions &amp; complicated medical histories</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Knowledge of standard of care and updates in general dentistry</li><li>Knowledge of Infection Control and OSHA requirements</li><li>Knowledge and practice of Confidentiality and HIP AA law</li><li>Knowledge of Dental Law and ethics</li><li>Knowledge of clinic operations</li></ul></div></div></div>\n",
