The ideal candidate is a detail oriented problem solver, able to build and motivate a team. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Company vehicle after 90-day probationary period</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Solicits and maintains positive relationships with potential and current clients.</li>\n <li>Prepares and submits a quality estimate within the time provided.</li>\n <li>Solicits bids and negotiates contracts with subcontractors.</li>\n <li>Evaluates and prepares pricing for change orders.</li>\n <li>Assists in directing and coordinating activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, within prescribed budget, and provides advice to solve problems.</li>\n <li>Follows job costs.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant field from an accredited four-year college or university\n  <ul>\n   <li>A combination of education and experience may be considered</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Driver's license and clean driving record</li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills including internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and specialized project software</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Seven years of experience in Heavy Civil Constriction relevant to this region</li>\n <li>Certified PE</li>\n <li>OSHA and/or other applicable safety certifications and training</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Sit</li>\n   <li>Use hands to finder, handle or fell</li>\n   <li>Talk or hear</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Occasionally required to:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl</li>\n   <li>Reach with hands and arms</li>\n   <li>Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Close</li>\n   <li>Color</li>\n   <li>Ability to adjust focus</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to drive</li>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually moderate</li>\n <li>Regularly exceeds 40 hours/week</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The H&K Group, Inc. </strong>provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
