    "description_html": "<p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p><p>The OD &amp; Referring Provider Liaison is responsible for developing and strengthening referral relationships between external optometrists, community providers, and Acuity Eye Group ophthalmology practices.</p><p>This role ensures clear communication, seamless referral processes, and strong clinical partnerships that expand patient access while supporting coordinated care across optometry and ophthalmology.</p><p>The liaison serves as a relationship manager, educator, and operational bridge between referring providers and surgical practices.</p><p>Success in this role is measured by growth in referral volume, provider engagement, referral quality, and overall partnership strength.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></p><h2><br></h2><p><strong>1. Provider Relationship Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with community optometrists and referring providers</li><li>Serve as the primary external point of contact for provider questions, referral support, and collaboration</li><li>Conduct regular in-person visits to referral partners</li><li>Identify opportunities to strengthen OD–MD collaboration</li></ul><p><strong>2. Referral Pipeline Development</strong></p><ul><li>Support growth of referrals for:</li><li>Cataract surgery</li><li>Retina care</li><li>Glaucoma management</li><li>Oculoplastics</li><li>Specialty ophthalmology services</li><li>Work with practices to ensure referral pathways are efficient and patient access is timely</li><li>Assist providers with appropriate referral protocols and scheduling processes</li></ul><p><strong>3. Communication &amp; Care Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Facilitate communication between referring providers and AEG practices</li><li>Ensure clinical updates, surgical outcomes, and care plans are communicated back to referring providers</li><li>Support practices in maintaining high-quality provider communication standards</li></ul><p><strong>4. Education &amp; Clinical Collaboration</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Educate external providers on:</p><ul><li>Surgical capabilities</li><li>Specialty services</li><li>Referral criteria</li><li>Co-management protocols</li></ul><p>Coordinate:</p><ul><li>Provider education events</li><li>Clinical roundtables</li><li>Continuing education opportunities</li></ul><p><strong>5.
