Current job sites are: Mayfield NY, Lowville NY, Middletown NY and Sidney NY.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Construction Manager</strong> provides overall direction and management for our utility construction operations. The Construction Manager is the leader / manager of construction team that may include the Craftsman, Field Engineers, and General Foreman. This position involves a high level of responsibility requiring strong management and supervision skills.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required.</li>\n <li>Manages and ensures customer's expectations for quality, schedule, and budget are satisfied</li>\n <li>Direct management of the operations portion of the project and interface with the customer and internal stakeholders</li>\n <li>Provide the customer updates on operations portions of the program</li>\n <li>Strives to improve the program's margin</li>\n <li>Reports program performance data as required to management and customers</li>\n <li>Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc.</li>\n <li>In coordination with project management; plan and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.).</li>\n <li>Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.</li>\n <li>Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.</li>\n <li>Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.</li>\n <li>Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.</li>\n <li>Perform additional assignments per Supervisor's direction.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred</li>\n <li>5+ years utility construction experience in relevant operations management, construction management, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction, or equivalent combination of technical training and Operations Management experience.</li>\n <li>Experience in all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules and safety required.</li>\n <li>Experience in understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards, and their impact on project activities.</li>\n <li>Familiar with scheduling software applications (Primavera, MS Project) a plus</li>\n <li>100% overnight travel required</li>\n <li>Able to travel for extended periods of time at various locations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary range for this position is $91,000 to $130,000 depending on experience and education.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Henkels</strong><strong> & McCoy, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans, and Individual with Disabilities</strong><strong>.</strong></p>",
