The GDO is charged with cultivating new donor relationships and growing existing donor engagement to secure financial gifts from donors, corporations, and foundations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span process.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Donor Portfolio Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct research, build donor strategies to manage a donor portfolio of major/wealth donors, corporations, and trust fund donors -</li>\n<li>Strengthen relationships with assigned donors by building personalized cultivation plans and deliver meaningful donor experiences.</li>\n<li>Execute quarterly touchpoints with new and existing donors through phone calls, emails and face to face interactions.</li>\n<li>Initiate, analyze, monitor, evaluate and alter strategic advancement plans through moves management.</li>\n<li>Ensure Raisers Edge (CRM) data records are current and up-to-date</li>\n<li>Able to articulate the organizational story so that individuals desire to align with the vision/mission/goals of the organization</li>\n<li>Host major/wealth donor activities that may include events, seminars, webinars and surveys.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Donor Acquisition</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and maintain an active donor funnel, by conducting multi-channel outreach.</li>\n<li>Identify and qualify new donors by organizing and attending events and potential supporters.</li>\n<li>Conduct discovery meetings to assess donor motivations</li>\n<li>Collaborate with board members, executives, and colleagues to uncover high‑net‑worth individuals</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Donor  Retention </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct updates, personal check-ions and appreciation calls to build relationships with donors and affiliation with the organization.</li>\n<li>Use Raisers Edge engagement metrics to identify ‘at risk’, ‘lapsing’, and ‘lapsed’ donors</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Foundations</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Use research tools to identify Foundation opportunities</span></li>\n<li>Initiate contact and follow-through with Foundation Board Members to build relationship and affiliation</li>\n<li>With assistance from staff, build and deliver LOI and proposals</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Responsibilities</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent influencing and relationship building style=\"font-weight: bold\">ROLE REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Demonstrates passion for Biblical stewardship and raising funds for the primary purpose of sharing God’s Word</span></li>\n<li><span>Possesses the necessary professional skills and experience to promote the ministry to various audiences such as membership, Christian public, businesses, and Foundations</span></li>\n<li><span>Possesses the necessary highly developed interpersonal and relational skills to serve as part of a variety of teams, motivating each other towards common goals and mission, to interact and relate to the membership, and to foster relationships with outside associations and various contacts</span></li>\n<li><span>Possesses the necessary written and verbal communication skills to dynamically articulate the vision of the organization as well as motivate and inspire others to participate</span></li>\n<li><span>Possesses the necessary skills to maintain accountabilities, process information, make decisions, organize workload, resolve conflicts, delegate responsibilities, and solve problems</span></li>\n<li><span>Comfortable and willing to travel to fulfill job responsibilities and support the organization's mission</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ASSETS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent completed post-secondary education in a relevant field</span></li>\n<li><span>Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales or fundraising role with a proven track record of success</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience in the multi-culture market preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Knowledge of Christian ministry or non-profit sector</span></li>\n<li><span>Successful track record as a professional fundraiser or as a relational salesperson, with proven ability to influence and build relationships</span></li>\n<li><span>Self-starter and able to work independently with a minimum level of supervision</span></li>\n<li><span>Personable, friendly, and donor-centric</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to make the ask and solicit funds</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience writing proposals is an asset</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience of developing and implementation of prospecting plans</span></li>\n<li><span>Familiarity with moves management and fundraising and donor relations management systems such as Blackbaud and Raiser’s Edge</span></li>\n<li><span>Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation is an
