We are seeking a <strong>Construction Surveillance Technician (CST)</strong> to support secure construction activities at sensitive facilities by monitoring construction personnel, enforcing security procedures, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and maintaining detailed documentation in accordance with government and site-specific security requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support <strong>Site Security Manager (SSM)</strong> and <strong>Special Security Representative (SSR)</strong> functions, as assigned.</li>\n <li>Serve as the <strong>SSM/SSR</strong> in the absence of the primary designated individual, when required.</li>\n <li>Conduct daily inspections of <strong>secured and unsecured</strong> areas throughout the worksite.</li>\n <li>Monitor construction activity to ensure all personnel visibly display required identification and badges and only access authorized areas.</li>\n <li>Provide continuous surveillance of construction personnel during on-site work activities.</li>\n <li>Maintain daily security logs for all workers entering and exiting the worksite.</li>\n <li>Operate inspection and surveillance equipment in support of site security requirements.</li>\n <li>Apply working knowledge of construction disciplines, including <strong>civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems</strong>.</li>\n <li>Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and blueprints to understand the intended use of spaces and systems and identify anomalies, inconsistencies, or potential security concerns.</li>\n <li>Apply knowledge of <strong>Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM)</strong>, construction security principles, and methods or devices that could be used for clandestine surveillance.</li>\n <li>Prepare clear, detailed written reports in English documenting findings, incidents, analyses, and security-related observations.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate daily logs and records throughout each shift or tour of duty.</li>\n <li>Promptly report security concerns, suspicious activity, and procedural violations to the appropriate site security authority.</li>\n <li>Comply with all site safety, security, and reporting requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Active TS/SCI clearance required.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>U.S. citizenship required</strong> for the purpose of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. security clearance.</li>\n <li>Ability to make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, demonstrate a high degree of initiative, and work with minimal supervision.</li>\n <li><strong>3–5 years of security experience</strong> related to one or more of the following areas:\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>ICD 705 / SCIF / SAPF construction</strong></li>\n   <li>intelligence operations</li>\n   <li>counterintelligence operations</li>\n   <li>countersurveillance operations</li>\n   <li>Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (<strong>TSCM</strong>)</li>\n   <li>physical security</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Knowledge of and experience with <strong>security documentation</strong> related to <strong>SCIF and SAPF construction and accreditation</strong>.</li>\n <li><strong>3–5 years of experience working as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST).</strong></li>\n <li><strong>3–5 years of experience working as a Cleared American Guard (CAG).</strong></li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret <strong>construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents</strong>.</li>\n <li>Strong observation, documentation, and report-writing skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, security staff, and leadership.</li>\n <li>Regular and predictable attendance is essential.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical and Work Environment Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to <strong>stand and walk for extended periods</strong> while at the worksite.</li>\n <li>Ability to <strong>stand for up to 8 hours</strong> during a shift.</li>\n <li>Ability to work <strong>outdoors in all seasons</strong> and in active construction environments.</li>\n <li>Ability to <strong>lift and/or move up to 25 pounds</strong> as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Active Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) certification</strong> preferred.</li>\n <li><strong>Site Security Manager training or certification</strong> desired.</li>\n <li>Prior experience supporting secure or classified construction projects in government, military, or contractor environments.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with SCIF/SAPF accreditation processes and secure facility security standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $84,000.00/Yr. - USD $94,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
